What is a voice?
A voice is more than the words we speak or write. It is the perspective we develop through a lifetime of experiences, observations, choices, successes, failures, faith, humor, and lessons learned. My voice is the way I see and understand the world—and the way I choose to share what I have discovered along the way.

What is a legacy?
Legacy is what we leave behind. It can be found in the stories we tell, the memories we preserve, the values we live by, the faith we hold, and the lessons we pass to others. It is not simply a record of where we have been, but something of what our lives have meant.

Melton's Voice & Legacy is my place to preserve those things—the stories, experiences, observations, faith, humor, and reflections that have become part of my life. Some are serious. Some are humorous. Some are simply stories worth remembering.

This collection is not intended to present a perfect life. It is intended to present a life lived, observed, remembered, and written about in my own voice.
